Sliding Scale Practices & Rates

As a self-employed human dedicated to anti-capitalist practices, there is no way to resolve the tension between maintaining accessible services and meeting my needs & wants for financial self-reliance.

That means there’s no number, equation, or “pricing calculator” I can use to obtain the perfect rate for my services.

As such, I utilize a sliding scale model for 1:1 Creative Mentorship, because I believe it is the most effective, authentic way to manage this tension.

Sliding scale rates (for Creative Mentorship, as outlined on the previous page):

$875 / month

Suggested for: Folks who make +$80,000/year or have substantial inherited wealth AND who want to support the accessibility of writers with less financial stability.

$700 / month - my “base rate”

Suggested for: Folks making between $50,000 - $80,000/year, OR folks who have a safety net of inherited wealth and/or a higher income but are under financial pressure (e.g. student debt, single parenting, medical debt, etc.) which renders their actual income closer to this range.

$525 / month

Suggested for: Folks making between $30,000 - $50,000/year, OR those with a higher income but who are under substantial financial stress (e.g. student debt, single parenting, medical debt, etc.) which renders their actual income closer to this range.

$350 / month

Suggested for: Folks making minimum wage or less than $30,000/year, or who are on medicaid, SS/fixed income, or unemployment.

I do not ask for proof of income or need.
